Description

Pork, dry pressed tofu, and green beans in our delicious stir-fry recipe. Quick and easy to make, it’s a nutritious meal that’s bursting with flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 block (about 14 oz or 400g) dry pressed tofu, cut into cubes
  • 1 lb (450g) fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch to make the sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced pork and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove the pork from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the cubed dry pressed tofu to the skillet and stir-fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  5. Add the green beans to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  6. Return the cooked pork to the skillet and pour the sauce over the mixture. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients evenly.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve the pork, tofu, and green beans stir-fry hot over cooked rice.

Notes

  1. Ensure the tofu is thoroughly dried and pressed to remove excess moisture before frying to achieve a crispy texture.
  2. Adjust the seasoning and sauce according to personal preference, adding more or less soy sauce, oyster sauce, or sesame oil as desired.
  3. For a vegetarian version, omit the pork and increase the amount of tofu or add extra vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers.
  4. Be careful not to overcook the green beans to maintain their crispness and vibrant color.
  5. Garnish the stir-fry with sliced green onions or sesame seeds for added flavor and visual appeal before serving.
