Raspberry Almond Cake Recipe

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups fresh raspberries
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and almond extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Fold in raspberries.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
