Description
Cinnamon Peach Crumble
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups sliced fresh peaches (about 6–8 peaches)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
For the Crumble:
- 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, toss the sliced peaches with lemon juice, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Allow the mixture to sit for about 10 minutes, letting the peaches release their juices.
- Transfer the peach mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the cold, cubed butter to the oat mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, work the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the peaches in the baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve this warm cinnamon peach crumble with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for a delightful summer dessert. Experiment with different fruits or add a handful of chopped nuts to the crumble for added texture.
