My name is Juliana, I was born in Taiwan, raised in Brazil and now I live in Southern California with my husband. I am a Pharm.D/Biochemistry by training and currently hold a faculty position at the local University. My professional interests include understanding the mechanism behind the cardiovascular disease and the prevention of this disease. But my true passion which runs alongside with my profession is home cooking, where my kitchen is my lab.

I “love eating”…therefore “love cooking” came along. I want throughout this site share with you my joy for cooking/baking. I love testing different recipes and making lots and lots of changes to it, real changes…

Most of my recipes use very common ingredients, which I have all the time in my kitchen, but before I continue, I must confess that common ingredients for me may not be common for you since my background embraces many cultures and my recipes are usually a blend of numerous ethnicities. So, please forgive me if my usual stuff in the kitchen is not your usual stuff…Well, the advantage of this combination is that you can consider my cooking/baking as “fusion”…which happens to be so trendy in now days….
